Modern Slavery Policy
The company recognised that No part of the world is free from modern slavery and no industries are immune to the risk of modern slavery. D&D Medlink Ltd has a zero- tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery and human trafficking. D&D Medlink Ltd implements its business strategy in an ethically, socially, environmentally responsible manner and continue to uphold human rights standards.
D&D Medlink Ltd recognised the potential consequences of failure to comply with modern slavery policy statement as set out from Home Office. The key purpose of this statement is to mitigate modern slavery and the supply chair in D&D Medlink Ltd.
A focus on tackling modern slavery and good employment practices in general not only protects vulnerable workers and helps prevent and remedy human rights violations, but it can also bring several business benefits too.
The company will achieve these aims by our initiative to identify and mitigate risk in the following ways (but not limited to):
More stringent vetting and investigation of our supply chain (agency staff, policies, contracts etc.)
Continually audit & review our practices for checking all employees are paid at least the minimum wage and have the right to work;
We encourage the reporting of concerns and the protection of whistle blowers
We have zero tolerance to slavery and human trafficking. We expect all those in our supply chain and temporal workers to comply with our values.
We are proactive through our recruitment process, risk assessment, encourage staff, clients, the public to report any concerns.
No compulsory overtime is force on any staff as they work is flexible to suit their needs.
We conduct due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier. We include an online search to ensure that particular organisations have never been convicted of offences relating to modern slavery and we include our modern slavery policy as part of our contract with all suppliers.
Where UK based supplier employees' pay is consistent with their national minimum wage requirements, working conditions are safe and fair, there is no child labour and working hours are not excessive
This policy is in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes the Company’s slavery and human trafficking statement.
